AgBio Oriental Beetle Trap
Remove Beetles Before Crop Damage Occurs

Picture
The Oriental Beetle (Exomala orientalis) is an economic pest of Nursery Stock, Turfgrass, Container Ornamentals, Blueberries, Cranberries, Raspberries, Strawberries, Peaches, and others.  The AgBio Oriental Beetle Trap was developed to reduce populations, through the use of our exclusive lures, in combination with a Unitrap or Japanese Beetle Trap.  This creates a simple, easy to use solution for the control and removal of these beetles, as the traps can simply be disposed of when saturated.

An issue of growing economic importance

The Oriental Beetle has established itself as the dominant grub in many regions of the United States. Larvae can cause complete destruction of the root system and death of the plant, transport of infested plants can result in rejected shipments.

Growing geographic distribution

The Oriental Beetle has been reported in New England, the Middle Atlantic States, Ohio, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Tenessee, West Virginia, and Hawaii. In Rutgers University survey locations (New York, New Jersey, and southern New England), the Oriental Beetle has become the dominant species in many turf locations, easily predominating over populations of Japanese beetles. In some studies, Oriental Beetles have accounted for over 90% of the grubs collected from blueberry fields.

Solutions
