When foraging, or searching for egg laying sites, weevils are attracted to the trap from the scent of the Lure-Chips and the trap as a harbourage site. On entering, they climb up the ramp and fall into the trap below.
The VW Trap is an efficient solution to monitoring Black Vine Weevils and other related weevils such as Strawberry Root Weevil and Rough Strawberry Root weevil. The innovative design ensures weevils are not repelled when approaching the trap.
