BeetleBlock-Verbenone recently approved for Mt Pine Beetle control. Verbenone is a natural pheromone that beetles emit when when the population of a tree has reached a high level. The pheromone is a signal to adult beetles to stay away because the tree cannot support full development of the population that has already infested the tree. Beetles turn away and seek another food source. The verbenone in BeetleBlock is an exact mimic of the verbenone naturally produced by beetles.
BeetleBlock is user and Eco-Friendly. Unlike the insecticides approved for Mt. Pine Beetle control, BeetleBlock-Verbenone does not kill bees, beneficial insects, aquatic organisms. Not restricted use.
Easy to use controlled release dispenser that is hung on individual specimen trees or placed in a grid pattern when wanting to protect acreage.
Registered by EPA and most Rocky Mountain States. All pheromones in controlled release dispensers are approved organic by USDA/NOP.
