BeetleBlock-VerbenoneBeetleBlock application grid for areas greater than 1/2 acre
Start by placing BeetleBlock-Verbenone dispensers in a line on the edge of the up-wind side of the area to be protected. Continue in a grid placement based on the number chosen per acre. If extra dispensers are left after initial placement, distribute throughout the entire area or in areas with high concentrations of susceptible trees. Place BeetleBlock dispensers at a height of 6-12' above the ground. Place BeetleBlock dispensers on the larger trees if you have the choice. Attach dispensers to tree using a heavy-duty staple gun or nails. Staple or nail only through the colored tab at the top of the BeetleBlock dispenser. Do not cut or puncture the white part of the dispenser. AgBio recommends 20-40 dispensers per acre depending on the beetle pressure in your area. 20 dispensers for low beetle pressure, 40 for very high beetle pressure.
