Cannabis is a genus of flowering plants in the family Cannabaceae. There are three species mainly recognized in the family: Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis. Any combination, or priority, of these species may be grown for many different purposes. Here at AgBio, we organize our disease and pest management practices based on the environment that Cannabis is grown.

Cucumber Beetle
Cucumber Beetles are a major problem wherever squash, cucumbers, watermelon, pumpkin, other cucurbits are grown, and now found on Cannabis/Hemp plants (as seen in pictures). Beetles can kill or severely stunt seedlings and on older plants damage stems and fruits. The beetle is well known for transmitting bacterial wilt, and some viruses. Gummy stem blight is also associated with beetle damage. Larvae feed on roots reducing yield. California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) approved.
The cucumber beetle lure has been specifically developed so that it can be used to trap multiple species of cucumber beetles. Effective for: Striped cucumber (Acalymma vittatum), Western striped (A. trivittatum), Spotted cucumber (Diabrotica undecimpunctata howardi), Western spotted cucumber beetle (D. undecimpunctata undecimpunctata). |
